...because I haven't already got enough on the go!
I feel pretty safe in the assumption that if you, as a knitter, crocheter or just general crafter, are reading this you too have at least 5 or 6 or even more work's in progress (WIPs) on the go. I myself, have too many to count (the joys of seeing shiny things in books and on the internet) but that's just the way of crafting :)
So, as if I didn't have enough on the go and enough in my to-do pile, I have still many many more I want to try out that I keep pinning to my
Pinterest boards (by the way, let's follow each other!) and so every weekend, if you don't mind, I would like to share with you the projects I stumbled across the week before and hope to try out soon! :)
I've been collecting fabric scraps over the past year and tying them into a ball with the intent of knitting them into a rug, but I've seen crocheted rugs and might have to try that out instead. These
round ones in particular are lovely!
I've always fancied crocheting a basket for my yarn - how personal - but I thought you would need special material to work with. But Stephanie at
All About Ami gave me the idea
here of using this as a stash-busting project, which I need! And I think I will probably follow
this pattern or
this one sooner rather than later (my stash needs another basket - the irony)
I LOVE seeing all the different things you can do with granny squares! I've had my eye on this for a little while and I think it should be pretty straightforward to replicate myself - another stash-busting project. Why not have a look at my
granny squares inspired board too?
A short round up to give you a taste of what I hope will be a regular feature of my blog! What projects/pieces of internet have you inspired this week?
The crochet rugs are a great idea! I have so many fabric scraps... I started to make a rag rug with them but it's turned into a bit of a long-term WIP, haha
ReplyDeleteoh the pile of WIPs I have...... :D maybe you should set aside a day and get the rug finished, I bet it will look amazing :) jenny xx
DeleteOne day i'll get around to attempting to crochet a rug from fabric scraps too - it's been on my must do list for a while, they always look such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteits been on mine for ages too! hope to soon make it more of a reality, once i've finished my cardigan! jenny xx
